The blush leather backpacks, crisp white culottes, and leather moto vests Marissa Webb designed for her first collection with Banana Republic have finally hit stores. Webb was formerly the head of womenswear design at J.Crew, and her move to Banana was exciting. It spawned the brand's first NYFW fashion show, remodeled stores, and a triumphantly self-aware hashtag: #TheNewBR.
The summer collection was shown to press months ago, styled on models at a brand presentation, and we were eager to see how the pieces would translate from pedestal to retail. We got our hands on five of the most exciting buys from the collection (including that backpack) and reviewed the ins and outs of each in the video above.
