As any child who has ever secretly borrowed their mother's stilettos for an important lip-syncing-into-a-hairbrush session knows, wearing heels while performing is a dangerous act. It turns out, however, that this is true even for famous pop stars on fancy late-night TV shows.
While performing her new single "Me Too" on the Tonight Show last night, Meghan Trainor managed to complete the entire performance wearing a sequined green dress and sky-high heels without a hitch. But when it came time to return to the mic stand, that's when the heels turned on her — as heels will always, inevitably do.
Luckily, however, non-heels-wearing host Jimmy Fallon joined her on the floor of the stage, where they shared a very adorable giggle, and everything was fine. But remember: heels are still definitely malicious, sentient objects, and no one is safe from their wrath.
Watch it all go down — literally — below (the fall happens around the 3:40-minute mark).
