Serena Williams for OPI: "Black Shatter" Topcoat is a Game Changer

New, 2 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Newly-certified nail technician-slash-tennis-pro Serena Williams has a collaboration with nail varnish company OPI hitting stores beginning in January and we got a sneak preview. Little did we expect that Williams would develop a game-changing nail product, but here it is: Black Shatter, a top-coat that crackles as it dried to produce a leopard-print-like end result on your fingernails.

Look for the Serena Williams for OPI collection in stores this January. We can't wait to get our hands on a bottle of Black Shatter—leopard nails, omg.
