Rule No. 1 for working in the fashion industry: Don't stand next to a supermodel in a photograph. Rule No. 2 for working in the fashion industry: Agreeing to have meals with supermodels is an excellent diet tool.
Victoria's Secret hosted an intimate luncheon with guest-of-honor Adriana Lima this afternoon to celebrate the launch of the 2010 Bombshell Fantasy Bra, a $2 million diamond-encrusted Miraculous Push-Up Bra that will make its runway debut at the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show next month. Created in collaboration with celebrity jeweler Damiani, the special-edition holiday offering features over 3,000 brilliant-cut white diamonds, light blue sapphires, and oval topazes all hand-set in 18 karat white gold. Considering it weighs in at a total of 142 carats, $2 million doesn't seem like that bad of a deal.
We also got a peek at Victoria's Secret's new iPad application—which is so much more than just catalog pages. There are special behind-the-scenes videos and images, special sneak peeks at the VS runway show, archive images from company history, and (our favorite) a model database of all the current and most well-known Victoria's Secret Angels.
