Really, we're about to vom with excitement. The long-awaited series sequel to the Sweet Valley High books we loved in middle school is about to hit stores—next March. Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later is author Francine Pascal's latest project—a much-anticipated update on what Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield are up to, ten years after graduating from Sweet Valley High School.
The "perfect size six" sisters from California with "eyes the exact color of the Pacific Ocean" are now full-fledged grown-ups with jobs, families, and careers. Some burning questions to mull over: What are Ned and Alice Wakefield up to these days? Will bad girls-guys Lila Fowler and Bruce Patman rear their trouble-making heads? What ever happened to Todd Wilkinson and Elizabeth's best friend Enid Rollins?
Last week, Pascal told the LA Times , "I can tell you that what you thought was going to happen to those people doesn't happen. Different things happen. Ten years, from 16 to adulthood, has made very different people. And I'm having kind of good time writing it, doing what I want to do with these people."
Seriously, guys, March 2011 cannot come soon enough.
