Just launched online Stateside: APARTStyle.com, the ecommerce arm of APART, a 200-store-strong German-based fashion company whose specialty is creating fashion-forward grown-up (no teeny-bopper stuff here) clothes priced under or around the $150 mark. The Dr. Zhivago-inspired winter collection features taupe, grey, camel, and white pieces sculpted with sharp lines and precise tailoring combined with the softness of old-world romanticism—a new take on the 1960s-era "Russian Look" that became popular in Hollywood following the release of the now-iconic film.
Some of our favorite APART looks of the season include:
· Joan dress, $188
· Twiggy dot dress, $148; and the studded cardigan, $149
· Imagine parka, $188
· New utility jacket, $248
· Willows tunic, $125
· Military jacket, $188
Like other online retailers, APARTStyle.com is experimenting with new ways to enhance the ecommerce experience. The site will soon feature interactive tools including a social shopping application that allows customers to share, in real-time, with their friends or a stylist—who can offer tips and tricks. Shoppers will also be able to utilize the site's Body Shape ID program which will identify the best styles and trends for individual body types. And tapping into the 3D trend that's everywhere right now, garments will be viewable on a wireform, rotating display.
