Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The ladies over at Fashionista raise a good question about Style.com's shift to Fairchild to align more closely with W and WWD.com: Will Style.com start charging its readers? "It’s doubtful that a pay wall will come into play, but if it did, we do believe users would pay $25 to $50 per year to access the database." Makes sense, since WWD.com charges a subscription fee. Would you pay to use Style.com? [Fashionista]
