Aprons—yes, the ones people wear to cook things—are the inspiration-du-saison, at least according to the Wall Street Journa. "With their pockets, harness-like straps and tie closures, aprons possess a utilitarian vibe, continuing a fashion trend that has had some women incorporating cargo pants, utility jackets and military boots into their wardrobes. Reed Krakoff, who is also executive creative director of Coach, says he wanted to show how something as mundane as an apron could be "elevated, abstracted and re-imagined ? and luxurious." [WSJ]
