Kelly Cutrone: "Tough Love, a Little Kick and a Hug is My Formula"

New, 1 comment

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Grand mistress of fashion PR Kelly Cutrone won't be returning to Bravo for a second season of Kell on Earth, but she will be back on our screens via MTV—no thanks to The City, which we reported earlier this week is dunzo. Cutrone has signed on as executive producer of a yet-untitled scripted show that's currently in development. She told PopEater:

I'm not doing reality TV again. Every year, something bigger has to happen. I'm not going to wear a bathing suit, get married or sell my child, so I decided it would be better to do a TV show that's not scripted.
So what's the idea behind the new Cutrone-a-palooza set to debut on our teevee screens sometime, hopefully, soon?
I'll use those tricks that I used with Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad to work with young people who want to have these opportunities and want to stand out in these big industries. Tough love, a little kick and a hug is my formula for the show."
