Saks Fifth Avenue will close its Southampton, New York, store this Saturday. It's the latest in a string of nationwide closures for the department store—Saks has recently closed stores in San Diego, Charleston, Plano, and Portland.

What will take Saks' place in Southampton, a chosen summer holiday destination for the rich and famous? Will the building go the way of the soon-to-close Mission Viejo Saks, which is likely becoming a 94,000 square foot Forever 21?
