Los Angeles Welcomes Assouline

Costa Mesa's South Coast Plaza shopping mall has a bookish new tenant: Assouline Books, Gifts, & Gallery. The shop—Assouline's fourth after Paris, New York and Las Vegas—was designed to evoke company founder Prosper Assouline's personal library. Stocking the luxury imprint's full line of art, design and fashion books—over 1000 titles, along with stationery, candles, vintage and antique books, luggage and collectibles; the shop's crown jewel might be a custom Goyard trunk complete with 100 Assouline titles. It's one-of-a-kind and only $20,000. An exclusive press preview and party happened last night—stay tuned for photos! [RackedWire]
