One of the top American fashion magazines has been busy shooting in Los Angeles this week—so busy, they've carelessly left a paper trail in their wake. One Racked informant sent us call sheets and details for three separate shoots happening November 3rd and 4th, 7th, and 9th and 10th—documents that were left on the desktop of a major hotel's public lobby computer.
Hands down, the most interesting document left behind is an editor-in-chief-vetted list of the magazine's preferred fashion labels—in rank order and divided into two categories: advertisers and non-advertisers. The fashion editor on the "Minimal" shoot will select looks and garments for the story strictly based on this ranking. Topping the preferred-advertiser list for this future issue is Giorgio Armani followed by (in priority order) Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, YSL, Chloe, Versace, Akris, Derek Lam, Carolina Herrera, Celine, Givenchy (maybe), Stella McCartney, Hermes, and Reek Krakoff.
Of non-advertisers, editor-vetted acceptable labels to include in the shoot are (in rank order of preference): 3.1 Phillip Lim, Helmut Lang, Narciso Rodriguez, Prabal Gurung, and Proenza Schouler.
