Limi Feu's 10th Anniversary: With an Homage to Christian Dior

Limi Yamamoto is the designing offspring of fashion demigod Yohji Yamamoto, and she celebrated the 10th anniversary of her own brand Limi Feu Trace with a special showing of her collection in Tokyo on Monday. While most of it was a re-hash of the show in Paris—including pregnant model Sachi on the runway—in the middle she included seven previously-unseen looks that paid homage to the old fashion guard. No not her father, but rather the granddaddy of couture, Christian Dior.

Yamamoto was inspired by his “extraordinary patternmaking skills” and she delivered classic Dior silhouettes—including a peplum blouse and an origami kimono jacket—but tempered with Limi's signature badass punk styling. The special pieces are already in stores but only available in Tokyo. Which makes this, along with Limi’s Tokyo-only outlet store, as good excuse as any to go there tout suite.Misha Janette
