Limited-Edition Emerging Designer Shopping Site OfaKind Launches

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Bunny, meet bunny bag.

New, just-launched online shopping concept we're loving:—the integrated editorial-shopping site that serves as a platform for emerging young designers. OfaKind founders Claire Mazur and Erica Cerulo tap on-the-cusp labels—like this week's featured designers Mandy Coon and Lizzie Fortunato—to create limited-edition pieces that are released one-at-a-time along with in-depth looks behind-the-scenes at their creative processes.

How it works: One designer is featured each week, with stories about the designer posted earlier in the week and the limited-edition product—produced in numbers less than 50—arriving onsite Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Each item is shipped with a numbered authenticity card signed by the designer.

This first month, the site will feature items from Mandy Coon—right now, her bunny bag! To die for.—Lizzie Fortunato Jewels, Dusen Dusen, and Symmetry Goods. Check out some of the upcoming merchandise in our gallery above. We like to think of OfaKind as a way to collect pieces from major fashion up-and-comers before they hit the big time.
