Gilt Man Would Love to Put an Axe in Your Christmas Stocking

New, 1 comment

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Are you sitting a in cottage, reading this on your computer while enjoying a hot toddy and the warming glow of a nearby wood-burning fireplace? Are you also a male wearing a flannel shirt and sporting some appropriately woodsman-y facial hair? Then you need to get your online shopping butt over to Gilt Man today, where they're selling Best Made Co. axes until midnight tonight.

Believe it or not, they've already sold out of the $200 axes, so all that's left are $250 and up...unless you're also in the market for the $175 leather axe holster and then you're in luck. Oddly it seems that not as many Gilt Man shoppers are interested in toting their sharp axes around town as they are in just owning the axes. Just know that these gifts are not airport-friendly, although we'd love to see a full-body scan of someone wearing the axe holster.
