Hm. Something is rotten in the state of
Denmark Sweden. Desert Living Today contacted us to report that although some stores around the world still have the dregs of the nearly sold-out collection on their shelves, all of the Lanvin x H&M was pulled from the Scottsdale store after launch day. Anyone who couldn't camp out on the first day has missed the collection entirely, unless they head up to Las Vegas...
“The manager informed me [Melissa Rein] that whatever was not purchased on Saturday was packed up and shipped to Las Vegas for a store that has not opened yet. When I inquired why this was so, the manager informed me that ‘this is typical of H&M designer collaborations to be only offered for one day and people camp out for them and there’s all this fanfare, etc.
Actually, this is something of a unique case. The Lanvin collection was originally due to be launched during the November 20 grand opening of the Las Vegas H&M at the Caesar's Palace Forum Shops?billed as the largest H&M in the US. There's just one problem with this: the Vegas store fell behind schedule.
So there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that the Scottsdale shoppers (and probably many other stores in the region) were cheated out of fully experiencing the collection. The good news is that anyone who's in Las Vegas whenever the store does open will have a second shot at the Lanvin x H&M line. We'll keep you updated.
