Michelle Collins, the managing editor of Best Week Ever went to an outlet shopping center in South Florida at midnight on Black Friday. Why? We're not really sure, but she sort of explains all her hopes and dreams for the experience here:
But this year, this was my year. And so, I made an Executive Decision starring Steven Seagal to venture to Sawgrass Mills, South Florida’s premiere outlet mall, at 12 midnight, when they planned on opening their doors to reveal bargain basement, unheard of prices. This would be my Oprah’s Favorite Things moment. I made sure to change into an outfit I didn’t care for, lest it be torn to shreds, and descended upon the outlet mall at around 11:45 PM.Then, the following things happened: she picked up a stranger in the parking lot, she made a gang of new Brazilian friends in line at Burberry, and she tried to get Glamour Shots taken at 4 a.m.. She also reveals that her mother is officially boycotting Michael Kors after he let Gretchen win Project Runway this season—is anyone else out there still mad at Michael for that reality TV infraction?
Seriously, guys, the best things to come out of Black Friday this year are definitely the stories. Send us some more, will ya?
