Not one day after the Lanvin for H&M press preview and reality is starting to set in—people want to know: Is the most expensive H&M collaboration ever worth the prices the fast-fashion retailer is charging? With dresses priced from $199 to $249—cotton T-shirt dresses are $49.95—customers want to know whether they're getting their money's worth. Two Racked commenters chime in—recognizing the great design and lookbook styling, but doubting the craftsmanship:

This is getting a bit ridiculous. Yes the design is nice. However, the materials used are shoddy. And they are charging over $200 for some of this stuff? Come on. I've seen actual Lanvin on sale for just a bit more. I'm not convinced.
And with Lanvin mainline collection dresses going in end-of-season sales for just about as much—and sometimes even less—than these H&M prices, another commenter says she'd rather hold out for the real thing:
Really? $199 for an H&M dress? i bought last season's Lanvin collection dress for $150 at Barney's August Whse sale. No way would I go buy these. Insanity!
What do you think? Are fast fashion collaboration dresses worth $249? Are H&M quality shoes worth a $99 price tag? Tell us in the comments.
