In the same way that e-commerce sites are launching accompanying editorial, so are editorial properties branching out into e-commerce. Today, InStyle magazine launched Stylefind.com, a editorially-curated online shopping portal that, so far, features more than 150 retailers and over 2,000 brands.
"It will be like shopping with one of our magazine editors," InStyle's managing editor Ariel Foxman told WWD. "The experience is edited and the search function actually works. If you search for bags with a chain, you will actually see that, but in different price points and brands."
Time, Inc., InStyle's parent company, will get a kickback from every sale made through the site and the publisher plans on eventually expanding the concept to other Time magazines—including Real Simple, People, Essence, Entertainment Weekly, and People Stylewatch.
