When Levi's throws a party they really throw a party—last night we hit the brand's SoHo Photography Workshop to check out their spring/summer '11 collection. The clothes were great—lots of cranberries and Nantucket reds, subtle stripes, washed-out neutrals, flouncy layers and lower rises, very summery, very wearable—but the models managed to totally take a backseat to the festivities.
Over a variety of wines and specialty cocktails shaken by dudes really into shaking cocktails, along with baby lobster rolls and teeny turkey burgers, revelers enjoyed a free photobooth, a funk-meets-indie deejay (anyone who plays "Buffalo Stance" is okay in our books), and an awesome set by British buzz band the Duke Spirit. On the walls: A variety of sweet and sexy Levi's-related photography enhanced by a mash-up of light and video installations. Overhead: A chandelier comprised of spent water cooler jugs.
Good times, good crowd, even a good giftbag. Check the gallery for shots of the clothes and the celebration.
