J.Crew's Spring 2011 Menswear: Rumpled, Homer-inspired, and Ready for a Summer in Maine

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

J.Crew presented their spring/summer '11 menswear collection here in New York late last week and, well, it looks a lot like J.Crew menswear. That being said—it's a really good time to be producing clothes that look like J.Crew menswear and we still want pretty much all of it.

Creative Director Frank Muytjens and his design team visited coastal Maine to put together this New England-y, beachy, lovingly worn in looking collection inspired by the artwork of Cy Twombly and Winslow Homer. Click through the gallery to peep some of our favorite looks.
