Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Here at Racked, we're huge fans of Swedish label Acne—their just-this-side-of-normal take on basics is right up our street. We've hauled all over the world shopping the label and even visited their flagship boutique in Stockholm—where, once in a while, we've bumped into one of our favorite singers, Jay-Jay Johanson folding jeans (sometimes he works on the selling floor at Acne, we have no idea why.). So we're excited to see that launch of a new Acne shop-in-shop on the Opening Ceremony website. While ordering direct from Sweden via Acne's own ecommerce site is great—it has the most comprehensive selection of products—international shipping and tracking (not to mention UPS' occasionally aberrant behavior) can be a nightmare—getting an online order fulfilled domestically really helps quell our will-it-arrive-or-won't-it anxiety. Yay.
