Robin Givhan is Mean

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The folks over at TBD ranked the top-10 meanest things that outgoing Washington Post Pulitzer Prize-winning fashion editor Robin Givhan has ever written. This, written about Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris (right) really takes the mean-cake: "One of the reasons Harris is so easy to mock is because she, to be honest, seems to have applied her makeup with a trowel. At this moment that so desperately needs diplomacy, understatement and calm, one wonders how this Republican woman, who can't even use restraint when she's wielding a mascara wand, will manage to use it and make sound decisions in this game of partisan one-upmanship."
