Last night at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan, 30 lucky (and wealthy) young women made their debuts at the 56th annual International Debutante Ball. Direct descendants of Declaration of Independence signatories, grandchildren of Russian royalty, and other society who's whos drank champagne (Coke and Sprite for the underagers), danced with West Point cadets (Annapolis was disinvited because of alleged drunken furniture-throwing in previous years), and met the belles of the ball. Fantastic story on the event here in the NY Observer, but what we really want to see are the dresses.
