What you see above is a portion of the official invite to tonight's McQ by Alexander McQueen presentation, as part of the MAC x Milk Studios Fashion Week. Due to the tragic passing of McQueen, this show will not go on.
We've just received official confirmation from KCD, the PR company producing the show, that the presentation is definitely cancelled. Had it continued on this evening, we imagine that the event would be more of a funeral and less of a fashion show. Nonetheless, the presentation could have been a living, breathing tribute to the great designer, since we'd bet that most of the attendees would dust off any McQueen they own and wear it with pride, no matter how outlandish. At least that was our plan.
McQueen's website has been down today, and his @McQueenWorld Twitter account was deleted.
