Liveblog: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Our trusty, intrepid Racked National reporter, Frank Gargione is coming at you, liveblogging from inside the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall-winter 2010 show at The Armory. From the interminable wait in line to the non-stop model-stomping on the runway to the post-show euphoria and crush to get out (alive), here's his minute-by-minute report.

Who/What: Marc Jacobs—king of the Downtown fashion set—presenting his lower-priced, always fun, often quirky Marc by Marc Jacobs fall/winter 2010 collection. This go around his looks were slightly more subdued drawing from tailored menswear and military uniforms in a sea of olives, grays, muted orange-reds and purples for day and ballsy tartans, blacks, metallic and fur for evening. Waists were belted, pockets were huge, backpacks are back, and the boys stuff was almost staid in comparison to previous efforts.
