KERALA, INDIA—German luxury penmaker Montblanc apologized to a court in Southern India for using the image of national hero Mahatma Gandhi to sell a $24,000 pen. The Centre for Consumer Education filed a lawsuit against Montblanc last fall, alleging the company broke a mid-century law prohibiting the "improper" use of emblems and names. [BBC]
NEW YORK—Ex-model and wife of The Donald, Melania Trump, is all set to launch a new line of jewelry—but it's not a luxury line like her stepdaughter Ivanka's! Melania Timepieces & Jewelry will make its QVC debut on April 30 this spring and will include rings, necklaces, watches, and crystal pieces and everything's priced under $200. “It’s something you can wear wherever you go," she said. "For example, if you have a business meeting or if you play with your child.” [CocoPerez]
