Warby Parker: Spectacular Spectacles for Ladies, Gents, Robber Barons, Post-Colonial Tyrants, and Stylish Super Villains.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Warby Parker is one of the most exciting eyewear launches we've seen in the past year, so it's no surprise that their just-gone-live-two-days-ago website is already blowing up and selling out. We love the collection's fashion-meets-function sensibilities and its very-right-now ageless aesthetic—especially "The Colonel" Monocle. Yes, monocle. The designers call it the perfect accessory for "budding robber barons, post-colonial tyrants and super villains." We concur.
