Korea's Top Skincare Line Launches in the US

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sulwhasoo, an Amore Pacific brand, is one of Korea's most popular luxury skincare lines — its products are created and based on the holistic philosophy of Sang-Seng, the belief that all things exist in relationship to one another. Sulwhasoo was the first skincare brand to use ginseng in its formulations, and new products continue to fuse new technology with old-school herbology — blending ingredients such as East Indian lotus, white lily, and peony into luxurious creams and serums. The line's cult following in the United States has heretofore been relegated to scouring eBay and special-ordering products from Korea. Well, good news. Come April, Sulwhasoo will launch in the USA exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, where we got a sneak preview and sample of Sulwhasoo's Concentrated Ginseng Cream, a top-seller.
