Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

American Eagle may have posted an 81.2% rise in profits in the fourth quarter of their fiscal year, but that didn't save Martin + Osa, the company's "grown-up" brand. From what we hear, this was news to the company's creative staff as well—sources tell us that all Martin + Osa designers and studio staff were laid off yesterday, when the announcement went public.
