Lauren by Ralph Lauren's Instant Gratification Spring Fashion Show

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

How's this for instant gratification—Lauren by Ralph Lauren launches a fashion show feature on its website where customers can see a model rock a look on the runway, check out fashion expert commentary, and then click-through to buy immediately.

“It’s the convergence of a lot of innovation that is going on in the market,” Michael Clinton, Hearst magazine's executive VP told WWD. “We have always looked at unlocking the DNA of our magazine brands, and our editors represent our brands. To show how we can take consumers right to the point of purchase is a beautiful thing.”
