In ongoing plans to downsize its American operations, British retailer French Connection will close its San Francisco flagship—and the company's only store in California. The shop is currently situated downtown on the corner of Powell Street and Ellis Street. No news yet on what will occupy the space in the future. French Connection recently announced it will be closing 17 of its 23 American standalone stores. [NBC]
