Makeup tutorials, shmakeup shmutorials—Haul videos are the newest girl-world Youtube video-trend to hit the mainstream. "Haul videos basically go something like this: A young girl sits in her bedroom and shows off her recent purchases from the local mall. That's it," writes Glamour's Slaves to Fashion.

NPR calls it "PG girl porn"—armed with a shopping bag and video camera, "each girl becoming the host of her own personal Style Network, Bravo or QVC show." Yup, that's pretty much the idea. But, for the life of us, we can't explain why these videos are so riveting. Now, if only someone would make a haul video after a Bergdorf or Barneys shopping spree...
