Creed's 250th Anniversary: Felicitations from International Royalty

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Creed, the world's only privately held luxury fragrance dynasty, has been passed down from generation to generation—in an unbroken line—since 1760. In celebration of the company's 250th anniversary, a collection of letters from the fragrance house's luminary clientele will be on display through the end of the year at Creed's American flagship.

Included in the exhibition are letters from President and Mrs. Obama, Crown Prince Felipe and Crown Princess Letizia of Spain (above), and members of the British royal family.
