Peter Davis Gets Deleted: Rick Owens is "Too Racy" for Facebook

New, 3 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Society scribe and man-about-town Peter Davis had 5,000 friends on Facebook—until admins deleted him for posted an image of a Rick Owens sculpture they deemed "too racy" for the, uh, G-rated social networking site.

Seriously? Deleted for posting a photo of a sculpture? Has Facebook seen the photos that teenagers are posting of themselves?
