Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Bryanboy reports that the American Apparel Rummage Sale, which started in London today, was just closed down by the police. With merchandise priced from £1 (we have the full price list after the jump) and over 29,000 customers RSVPed to attend, ensuing chaos is not exactly surprising. The sale is slated to run through the weekend—no word yet if American Apparel is allowed to reopen tomorrow.
