Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Anyone who's felt that Juicy Couture just hasn't been the same since the departure of founders Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy (The Juicies!) this past January—brace yourself. Because the tongue-in-chic fun-luxe label is about to become even more not-the-same.
Juicy Couture's hired designer Erin Fetherston—best known for her signature blonde bangs and ultra-girly aesthetic—as guest designer and creative consultant. Fetherston's first collection for Juicy will debut this holiday season.
“It’s very impressive that Juicy Couture has become a global brand in such a short period of time," Fetherston says. "I’ve always related to the fun-loving and modern spirit of the brand and its distinct design point of view."
Um, really, Erin? We'd like to call her on that one. We'd also pretty much kill to see Fetherston wearing a Juicy Couture tracksuit in public.
