A few years ago, we accidentally bumped arms with designer Rick Owens while simultaneously reaching for an issue of Vogue Paris in the Eurostar terminal newsstand at Gare du Nord. We haven't washed our arm since.
Just kidding.
Here at Racked National, we pretty much worship Owens. So we're beyond excited that his furniture exhibit—entitled "Pavane for a Dead Princess"—opens May 8 at Salon 94 in New York City.
According to sources, the designer plans on staging the gallery in the image of sleeping quarters in his home in Paris. Furniture pieces will include a "low bed and curvilinear headboard cut from Spanish alabaster," reports WWD. "For added Owensian flourish, a floor-to-ceiling sheared mink curtain will enclose the space."
