Louis Vuitton Opening Its First LEED-Certified Store in Santa Monica

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The soon-to-open (August 6!) Santa Monica Place shopping center will be home to some of the worlds top brands—including Michael Kors, Burberry, Ted Baker, All Saints, and Bloomingdale’s—and will be anchored on the ground floor by a 4,000 square foot Louis Vuitton boutique slated to open in a prime corner spot on the central plaza. The store will carry leather goods, accessories, and footwear. It will be the first eco-friendly LEED-certified Louis Vuitton store in the world.
