Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Call it the Chrome Hearts Touch—anything and everything emblazoned with the brand's motorcycle-culture-inspired goth-lite moniker turns to platinum.
Or, at least, it just gets priced that way.
The latest luxury offering to emerge from Casa de Chrome is this racing bicycle—a collaboration with Cervélo, the world’s largest manufacturer of time trial and triathlon bikes. But whereas the plain-ole standard Cervélo P4 TT bike costs around $6,000 MSRP, this Chrome Hearts edition—refinished with artwork, a leather seat, silver cross, and CH motif plugs—rings in at $60,000.
Hey, for that price, you could get two-and-a-half fake internships at Vogue. Badass bike or a week with the Wintour? We'll leave that up to you to decide.
