Hugo Boss, which operates 35 retail stores, 27 outlet stores, and 10 franchise operations in the United States, is closing its Palm Beach location. “Palm Beach was our only seasonal-resort store in the United States and currently does not fit into the business model,” a rep told the Palm Beach Daily News. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it work.” Regular customers were mailed letters last week, informing them of the change. Richard Ciulla, the Palm Beach manager will relocate to Hugo Boss' Boca Raton store. “The global brand wasn’t able to get the traction and growth from their women’s line, while the men’s cut and fit were a bit slim and very fashion forward for the Palm Beach customer," said Arthur Weiner, a representative of 150 Worth, the shopping center in which the store was situated.
