Iconic Finnish textiles, fashion, print, and homewares brand Marimekko showed its new collection in Helsinki last week. The company, probably best known outside Scandinavia for its signature large floral print that adorns bedding and tableware, is turning over a new aesthetic leaf, having recently appointed Virva Launo, a 2009 graduate of London's Central Saint Martins, to the post of creative director.
