Not content to just sit back and tell its readers what's cool and where to get it, online tastemaker Thrillist wants to sell stuff as well. Thrillist founder Ben Lerer has just closed a deal to buy Jack Threads, an online sale site for guys' stuff that's similar in concept to Gilt. While both Thrillist.com and JackThreads.com will continue to operate as independent web entities for the time being, looks for lots of cross-promotion and an emerging men's lifestyle new media powerhouse—after all, isn't that the web dream?
