Pond's Cold Cream has been around for over 100 years, but it just got its first major celebrity endorsement. Pop star Kylie Minogue—who, also, seems to have been around for 100 years—lavished praise on the drugstore face cream in an interview, saying, "It's really changed my skin. It's all I really use to look after my skin. It's such an old classic. My mum uses it and it really does work. It's made such a difference."
Pond's says that since the interview, sales have skyrocketed 120%—"We're calling it 'the Kylie effect,' and it has been dramatic, to say the least," said a spokesman. "It's been crazy. Stockists are increasing their orders and we've had to up our product orders pretty dramatically."
The star, who has previously admitted to having Botox injections, has sworn off the injections since using Pond's and said she would not have cosmetic surgery.
