Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Casadei may not have that the media profile of Manolo Blahnik or Christian Louboutin—it may not have the swishy-swishiness of Jimmy Choo or Nicholas Kirkwood, but we've been longtime fans of the brand for its ultra-dramatic, unapologetically luxury aesthetic.
Truth be told, the only Casadeis we've ever owned we bought off of Yoox—they're some of the most comfortable, long-wearing shoes we've ever owned. So we're excited to see them on offer today at Gilt. We're especially fans of the (from left) peep-toe wedge, $249 (orig. $685), the high bamboo wedge (major), $299 (orig. $885), and the patent leather slide (which we think look like real-life Barbie shoes!), $279 (orig. $700).
