A Hard-Hitting Interview with Ken: "Being Ken is About Having Fun!"

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Meet Ken—star of upcoming feature film Toy Story 3 and denizen of Ken's Dream House, the injection-molded mansion that plasticine dreams are made of. Despite all this, he's "just like any other toy," he says, though, when pressed, he admits "I'm kind of a role model—a manly role model."

Check out this hilarious and brilliant promo interview for the upcoming animated film ( in theaters June 18). And take note: Whatever you do, don't ever call Ken a girls' toy—at least, not to his face.
