Where to Get Your iPhone 4 in Manhattan: The Racked NY Report

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Our slightly-obsessed sisters over at Racked NY got up at the crack of dawn (again) to check out the scene at all the Apple stores around Manhattan on day two of the iPhone Frenzy, which, if you hadn't, uh, noticed, we're calling the iPhrenzy.

Here's the Racked NY rundown of where to go if you want to get your paws on a shiny new iPhone—hint: they won't be at AT&T stores until June 29.
· Upper West Side: "Downright quaint," they say. "By 9am, most were already lined up inside the store. Staffers were again thoughtfully passing out SmartWater and glazed donuts to the very relaxed looking line-goers." Glazed donuts! See you there.
· SoHo: "If you're going, go early," Racked NY advises. "We're told the current stock won't last all day, though, and the Genius running the line didn't seem convinced this morning's calm would last either." No reports on free donuts at this location.
· Meatpacking District:: "By about 7:15am the line had only grown by a half dozen and Apple Blue-Shirts were only just begrudgingly setting up a folding table of off-brand bottled water and rando freebies. The store appeared open, but all the same nerd alerts were still in line." Generic bottled water! The nerve.
