The folks over at WWD have released the first batch of images of Alexander McQueen successor Sarah Burton's first collection for the late designer's namesake fashion house.
"It's too early to tell what the future holds for Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen," they write, "but from the look of her first collection for pre-spring, the vista is promising indeed."
With clear nods to McQueen's signature combinations of sleek tailoring, constrained torso silhouette, and dramatic, yet controlled, movement, Burton created looks from "lacquered raffia, hand-worked lace, wool crepe and silk."
