Vineyard Vines: Whimsical Prep Coming to a Town Near You

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Connecticut-based whimsical clothing and accessories company Vineyard Vines—they're the ones who do funny animal patterns on pastel ties—will be expanding their standalone retail operations by 30% this year.

The company currently operates nine stores—in Boston, Edgartown, Nantucket, and Mashpee, Massachusetts; Greenwich and Westport, Connecticut; Memphis, Tennessee; Key Largo, Florida, and Washington, D.C.—and will open three more in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Main Street in Southampton, New York, and Tysons Galleria in McLean, Virginia.
