J. Crew's Denim Wedding

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

This is the look that's currently gracing the windows at J. Crew's first dedicated bridal store in Manhattan. Okay, we know denim is really in this season, but, really, will it make its way down the aisle? Our sister site, Racked NY stopped by to check it out: "Alas, J. Crew doesn't play it too safe with their bridal designs, and chiffon is relegated to the racks. Instead, denim paired with a column satin skirt rules the window and a peach sequined dress that looks poured onto the mannequin seems a formidable opponent to the sparkliest wedding gown." [RNY]
